The Hidden Danger of Electronic Gossip

Today we face situations no other generation has encountered. Some are good, and some are dangerous to our souls. One of the more subtle dangers is electronic gossip—the gossip that permeates our social media and other technologies.  Gossip is like a cancer wrapped like a gift. It breeds suspicion, distrust, and division. It destroys relationships, reputations, and unity in the Body of Christ. Whose job description is that? Satan’s. Gossip attacks love, and God is love (1 John 4:7b).  I am especially concerned about social media content created by Christians about other Christians, particularly well-known leaders and influencers. It bombards us 24/7. It has…

Hold On to the Plow and Don’t Look Back

Luke 9 is packed with movement and miracles: Jesus empowers the twelve, feeds over 5,000, receives Peter’s confession, is transfigured, heals a tormented child, corrects disciples competing for greatness, and is rejected by a city. At the end of this intense chapter, two men approach Jesus wanting to follow Him—sort of. The first man says he’ll follow, but first needs to go bury his father. A few weeks ago, Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts survived a life-or-death neck injury. If it has been one inch higher—fatal; one inch lower—paralysis. The neck brace is off now, and she’s grateful, yet her herniated disc has worsened and needs surgery to eliminate expanding damage and pain. How do we hold gratitude (for what God has already done) and grief (over what is still hurting) together? “Help is on the Way!”

Our God has a history or turning darkness into light. He’s done it for others and He’ll do it for you. Enjoy Chaplain Barbara Bailey’s message.

Sometimes we show up to celebrate Jesus’ birth carrying way too much—stress, expectations, distractions, even our own agendas. This short reminder invites you to set all that “luggage” down at the door and enter the wonder of Christmas with a lighter heart, open hands, and a clear focus on the One we’re truly celebrating.

“What Does Your Community Look Like”

Text: Chaplain Barbara Bailey gives us insight on how we determine our "community," and how we shape it and live in it as a follower of Jesus Christ. Enjoy the wisdom.

Rorisang Thandekiso of South Africa says, “We’re living in times where many have a form of godliness but deny its power—just as 2 Timothy 3:5 warns us. In this video, we break down what it means to appear religious on the outside but lack true spiritual power and transformation. Are we just going through the motions of faith, or are we truly walking in the power of God? This is a wake-up call to examine our hearts, deepen our relationship with Christ, and live in the fullness of His power. Don't settle for empty religion—God is calling us to something deeper!”

Beautiful and broken may not seem like two words that should be used together. With God, that combination of words is beautiful.

Imagine living a life where the ups and downs don't dictate your happiness. How can we achieve this? By discovering the essence of finding joy and purpose in every step of our journey, rather than just focusing on the destination. God used Paul to demonstrate this path for us, offering timeless wisdom that can transform our life and joy.

“Have you ever felt a sudden shift in your emotions and wondered why? Sometimes frustration, sadness, or confusion shows up without warning. Most people sit in those feelings and move on. But what if those moments are actually trying to tell you something?”
